Seniors Morning Out Activities for May 2024

HICKORY –Participants will enjoy a variety of activities in May including musical performances, craft classes, and cooking demonstrations. Any resident of Catawba County who is 60 or older is invited to join Seniors Morning Out, which is held Monday through Thursday mornings at five convenient locations. Commissioners Celebrate Completion of St. Stephens EMS Base

Catawba County Commissioners Randy Isenhower, Barbara Beatty and Austin Allran celebrated the completion of the County’s newly-constructed St. Stephens EMS base, located at 4447 Section House Rd., with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Duke Energy to Test Sirens April 10

The outdoor warning sirens around Catawba and McGuire nuclear stations will be tested between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. No public action is required. The 89 sirens within 10 miles of Catawba Nuclear Station and the 67 sirens within 10 miles of McGuire Nuclear Station will sound for five to 30 seconds.
