Letters of Thanks

Southwest Branch Library
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, all patrons are encouraged to visit the library any time during the month of November to write letters to those they are grateful for—whether friends, family, or community members. We will provide the stationery, envelopes, and stamps, so simply stop by the circulation desk to request your stamp (if you choose to mail).

Medicare plans can change each year. During open enrollment, you have the opportunity to change your coverage. Take advantage of a one-on-one consultation with a rep from the Council on Aging to review your needs and select the best Medicare plan for you. To make a reservation, call the Council on Aging at 828-328-2269.
Technology Tutoring: BYOD
Every Wednesday and Thursday in November from Noon – 2 pm
Conover Branch Library
Bring your own device (phone, tablet, or laptop) and get your technology questions answered! Please bring any relevant usernames and passwords.
Zumba LIVE with Honey & Jossiah
Monday, November 1 at 6 pm
Outside the Catawba County Museum of History

Kick off your week with a burst of Zumba, a dance and movement activity that’s too much fun to call exercise. It’s appropriate for every skill and ability level and open to anyone 14+ (parental signature required for teens under 18).

Come get active with a fun exercise program at St. Stephens! Certified yoga instructor, Kacy Steiger, will lead us through a class friendly for all body types and skill levels. Restorative Yoga

Join us as certified yoga instructor, Kacy Steiger, leads us through a beginner friendly restorative yoga class. This class is perfect for anyone looking for yoga for stress and anxiety relief. Cell phones can be confusing but Tech Connect is here to help! Bring your device and questions for this hour-long workshop to become more efficient with your phone. Android and iPhone users are welcome! Participants will meet in the Tech Connect space of the Main Library in Newton.
