Tales in the Garden

We’re celebrating World Postcard Day all month! Stop by the Youth Services desk to design a postcard to brighten a senior adult’s day. You design the postcard and leave it with us; we’ll take care of the rest.

First Lego League Jr Robotics Club

Youth STEAM lovers will build, create, problem solve, and use technology as they complete a Boomtown Build. This program is offered in collaboration with 4-H and STEM West. Japanese Culture Club

Introducing a family-friendly event where each month we’ll discover the amazing world of Japanese culture through origami, calligraphy, games, and more! This month we’ll explore Japanese supernatural folklore, learn how to write ghost in Japanese, and make origami ghosts. Just Breathe: Meditation for Stress Relief

Don’t think you can meditate? Join us as certified yoga instructor Kacy Steiger leads us through a beginner friendly guided mediation class. We will also discuss the differing techniques and benefits of meditating. Accessible to all, but encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel and a small blanket.  

Catawba Songwriters

Black History Discussion Group

This month we’re learning more about African American food culture, an aspect of African American identity that, “like DNA, represents an unbroken line from Africa to present-day America.” We’ll learn about facets of our fusion food culture that are often overlooked or misrepresented.
