Pollination Station: Live Butterflies

Sherrills Ford-Terrell Branch Library

Visit our live caterpillars as they become butterflies at the library! Learn about the life cycle of butterflies, the importance of pollinators for the environment, and how we can protect and support them. Activities for children learning how pollination works will be available coupled with a small take home goodie to start your very own butterfly garden at home. Zumba LIVE with Honey & Jossiah
Mondays, April 18 at 6 pm

Kick off your week with a burst of Zumba, a dance and movement class that’s too much fun to call exercise. It’s appropriate for every skill and ability level and open to anyone 14+ (parental signature required for teens under 18). 

Chair Yoga

A certified yoga instructor will lead us through a class friendly for all body types and levels. This class is perfect for anyone looking for accessible ways to stretch, relax, and gain the benefits of doing yoga with the added security of using a chair. Gentle Flow Yoga

Popcorn Party! 
Tuesday, April 19  from 5 pm to 7 pm
Maiden Branch Library

Come one! Come all! The whole family is invited to a drop-in popcorn party.  Stop by between 5 and 7 pm to visit all the popcorn activity stations! Play the popcorn toss, make popcorn kernel rain sticks, and make an edible popcorn and seed garland for birds. And you guessed it! Eat freshly popped popcorn from a real popcorn machine! STEAM: Paint Marbling Wine Glasses

Join us to create eye-catching marbled wine glasses by experimenting with acrylic paint marbling methods. Learn about color theory and simple techniques for mixing paints for the marbled effect while also discovering different tools and useful items to create one of a kind designs.
