Up and Down in Nursery Town

Believing that theater is available and accessible to everyone, the Green Room Community Theatre has created a troupe that centers around teens and adults with special needs. Whether those needs are cognitive or physical disabilities, they do nothing to diminish the excitement and creativity of these ‘players,’ who love the reality of performing as much as any celebrated thespian.

Limitless Theatre’s latest production is a unique show called Up and Down in Nursery Town. It’s a short, action-packed program that will keep children focused on what’s happening on stage. It also offers a terrific opportunity to introduce youngsters to live theater – while being entertaining for folks of all ages. Bring the kids to see how being different can make us special!

The story centers around an exasperated Sheriff Gander Goose, who has had it with everyone in Nursery Town getting hurt! He’s declared no more mischief: no running, no jumping, no climbing, and no loud noises. The folks in Nursery Town have called a meeting with Mayor Mother Nature to discuss these horrible new rules. Can’t something be done so that everyone can have fun and be safe?!

The Limitless show will be presented three times at the library:

  • Wednesday, October 16 at 4:30 pm – Main Library, Newton
  • Wednesday, October 23 at 4:30 pm – Claremont Branch Library
  • Wednesday, October 30 at 4:30 pm – Conover Branch Library
