Movies in the Park – 7/8/21

Even without social distancing, there’s something incredibly appealing about an outdoor movie. Maybe it harkens back to drive-in theaters, or maybe it’s just about the satisfaction of spending time outside.

The City of Claremont is tapping into this seasonal pleasure with its next edition of Movies in the Park. On Thursday, July 8 at 7 pm, the city is inviting the community to come together at Claremont City Park (3430 E Main St) and spread out a blanket or kick back in a camp chair.

The family-friendly evening will center around The Croods: A New Age, the 2020 Dreamworks Animation film about two memorable prehistoric families and the friendships they forge. The movie is an hour-and-a-half long and is rated PG.

The Library to Go will be set up at the park as well that evening, so make sure to drop by and check out the wide array of books, information, and activities it offers. And don’t forget to grab some food to munch on before the movies start!
