Join us for a fun, sensory-friendly storytime for neurodivergent children and their siblings! Enjoy songs, sensory play, crafts, and stories designed for a small group of 10, creating a calm, welcoming space. Afterward, stay for free play to encourage socialization & motor skills. Kick off your week with a burst of Zumba, a dance and movement class that’s too much fun to call exercise. It’s appropriate for every skill and ability level and open to anyone 14+ (parental signature required for teens under 18).

Make new friends and enjoy the company of others while you knit and crochet. This month we will be working on the different variations of crochet stitches. Bring your own supplies - some yarn provided.

Canva Creators Course
Wednesdays at 5 pm

Interested in creating flyers, social media posts, or even print products with your own personal designs? Join us as we walk through the process of creating with Canva! You will learn to set up a free Canva account, choose design templates, and interact with different design elements. This 4-week course will give you the confidence to create, post, and print your own designs using Canva! To register, please call 828-465-9565.

Gentle Flow Yoga

A certified yoga instructor will lead us through a beginner-friendly, gentle flow yoga class. You are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel as well as a small blanket.

Low impact exercise and gentle stretching for all ages. 

Color Our World: Adult Recess
Fridays at 3 pm

Studies show that unstructured downtime provides important benefits for humans of all ages. We all need opportunities for physical activity, diffusing brain activity, and socialization (that’s science-talk for FUN)! Since adults are the least likely to be granted a recess period in their day, enjoy some lovely downtime with your library. A variety of activities will be available each week including coloring, board games and weather permitting, Four Square.

A certified yoga instructor will lead us through a beginner-friendly, gentle flow chair yoga class. Chair yoga allows you to perform yoga poses while seated or using a chair for balance.

Color Our World: Newton Art Crawl Experience

Be a tourist in your hometown! Come along on a walking tour of the public art installations that grace our spaces. The tour will end at NoCo ARTS to enjoy the artwork of local artists and work together to create a community art project of our own. Begin at the Library, finish at NoCo Arts. Qi Gong
