Virtual Teen Pet Show and Tell

Animal-lovers have one thing in common-they can’t stop talking about their pets! It doesn’t matter if you have dogs, cats, lizards, horses, mice, or fish, we want to see them. Introduce your pets, tell stories about them, and show us any tricks they can do. Teens without pets are invited to join the fun without worrying about allergies! Need to find your new favorite book?  Let the literary matchmakers at the Main Library in Newton and the Southwest Branch Library set you up on a blind date in this interactive display throughout the month of February.  Who knows—you might just find The One!

Zumba LIVE with Honey & Jossiah
Mondays, February 14 at 6 pm

Kick off your week with a burst of Zumba, a dance and movement class that’s too much fun to call exercise. It’s appropriate for every skill and ability level and open to anyone 14+ (parental signature required for teens under 18).

St. Stephens Theme-Based Book Club

Join us for this monthly in-person event where you can gather with fellow book lovers and discuss books based around a common theme. The theme for February is romance novels, so reread a favorite or find something new and come share your reading experience with us.  

Catawba Songwriters

Share your talents while you learn from others. Bring a finished written song or one that’s in progress to share with the group. Teens and tweens with musical talents are invited to join the group.

Chair Yoga

A certified yoga instructor will lead us through a class friendly for all body types and skill levels. This class is perfect for anyone looking for accessible ways to stretch, relax, and gain the benefits of doing yoga with the added security of using a chair. We will look at the various settings available to you as a presenter, attendee, and how you can set up your own meetings. This program is offered in collaboration with the Council on Aging.
