Homework Helpers Wrap Up Another Successful Year

Our Homework Helpers program had another successful year. This year we provided 417 tutoring sessions in total. With the assistance of 13 volunteers, we were able to improve the reading, writing, and math skills of 30 students. Homework Helpers has been a program of mutual empowerment. County Commissioners Adopt Fiscal Year 2022/23 Budget

The Catawba County Board of Commissioners adopted a Fiscal Year 2022/23 budget of $306,247,224 at its June 6 scheduled meeting. The budget maintains a property tax rate of $0.575 per $100 of assessed valuation. On May 16, County Manager Mick Berry presented a recommended budget of $306,484,812.
