Three New COVID-19 Deaths Reported

Three new COVID-19 deaths have been reported to Catawba County Public Health over the last 24 hours, bringing the county’s total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 20. All three individuals were hospitalized and had underlying medical conditions. None were from congregate care settings. Tax Office Scheduled to Mail 2020 Property Tax Notices

The Catawba County Tax Office is scheduled to mail more than 98,000 property tax notices July 17, 2020. Taxes will be due September 1, 2020, and delinquent after January 5, 2021. Payment arrangements may be made prior to September 1, 2020. Delinquent taxes will be subject to a 2% interest penalty beginning January 6, 2021 and 3/4 of 1% penalty for each following month.
