Purpose of Form

The purpose of this form is to determine if the purchase price you paid for this property is a true indication of an open market or arm’s length transaction. The assessor uses these sales as a tool to determine the Market Value of properties in Catawba County during the county wide revaluation process. Thus, the assessor requests that you answer the following questions so that only true open market sales will be used in determining property assessments.
