A typical workday for me involves processing listing forms, communicating with business owners and accountants through email, assisting taxpayers who come into the office, and answering phone calls.
What is your favorite aspect of your job – what do you enjoy doing most?
My favorite aspect of my job is interacting with and assisting taxpayers. I enjoy helping them understand their business and personal property taxes by providing clear information and guidance.

The County core value that most relates to the work I do is Doing What Matters Most. The service we provide for taxpayers is very important. Many taxpayers rely on us for guidance because they may not know what needs to be done or how to complete certain processes. By helping them understand requirements and providing accurate information, we ensure they receive the support they need and that essential services are carried out effectively. Our work directly impacts the community by making these processes clearer and more manageable for the people we serve.

What I like best about working for Catawba County is the positive and supportive work environment. Everyone is respectful, willing to help one another, and works together as a team. At the end of the day, we all focus on doing what is important for the county and its citizens.
