Welcome to the Catawba County Safety Training Web Page. This page contains OSHA required trainings for each department. The Risk Management Office or your department’s Safety Officer will provide you with a schedule of when these trainings are due. We hope these trainings prove helpful to you in your daily job activities. Please feel free to access any of the modules you feel would be beneficial to you, even if it is not listed as a required training for your department. These training sessions may look familiar to you because they were produced by BLR, our source for on-line safety training presentations. However, over the next 18 months, these presentations will be replaced by presentations designed to incorporate our specific Catawba County safety plans and procedures.

General Instructions:
  • Every employee must take the Hazard Communication and Emergency Action and Fire Prevention trainings on an annual basis. Risk Management or your department Safety Officer will let you know when these trainings must be completed.
  • Your Department Head or Safety Officer may require other general OSHA trainings. Risk Management or your department Safety Officer will let you know if and when additional trainings must be completed.
  • Safety trainings specific to each department that are required on an annual basis are listed below. Risk Management or your department Safety Officer will let you know when these trainings must be completed.
