Seniors Morning Out Activities for September

August 20, 2018

HICKORY – Seniors Morning Out participants will enjoy a variety of activities in September including cooking classes and musical performances.

Any resident of Catawba County who is 60 or older is invited to join Seniors Morning Out, which is held between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday at five convenient locations. A hot, balanced lunch is served each day. Programs are free to participants, who may pick and choose which days to attend. Bus transportation to and from the sites is available in some locations.

On Sept 18, seniors 60 years or older are invited to attend a performance by the gospel group, The Reggie Saddler Family, at Lifepoint Church Hickory from 9:30am-12:00noon. Registration is required by calling 828-695-5610 by Sept 11. Lunch will be provided at no cost.

The Reggie Saddler Family performance is supported by a grant from the United Arts Council of Catawba County through the North Carolina Arts Council, with funding from the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
