Duct Tape Crafts
Published: January 23, 2019
While the invention of duct tape first made waves in the military, HVAC installation, and do-it-yourself fixes, it’s in the field of crafting that it got its true glory. Freed from its metallic grey origins, the tough, waterproof material gained a new wardrobe of color and pattern, making it the go-to substance for assembling wallets, tote bags, cell phone covers, and even clothing.
At the Library, we’re offering our own take on duct tape crafts, encouraging teens to come out and get creative! Participants will have the option of making a key chain or a braided bracelet using their preferred style of duct tape. Each person can choose how to put together the materials, and the sky’s truly the limit as far as imagination goes.
All materials will be supplied, so if you’re interested in getting involved, please call the library at 828.466.6821 to reserve a seat. The program is also ideal for tweens who may want to test their crafting skills.
The seminar takes place at 4 pm on Thursday, January 31 at the St. Stephens Branch Library.
