College Planning, A-Z
August 07, 2018
The prospect of choosing, applying for, and being admitted to college is singularly exciting, but it’s also incredibly daunting. Certainly, college is a life-changing experience, but getting there necessitates a smart, comprehensive plan. With so many moving parts and bureaucratic requirements, the application forms and financial aid paperwork can be difficult to face if you don’t keep your eye on the prize.
To help high school students and their parents learn about the processes and to assist them with strategies in keeping everything on track, the Library is hosting a workshop for anyone interested. It will take place Tuesday, August 14 at 5:30 pm at the Main Library in Newton.
Among the topics we’ll touch on is creating a roadmap that can be referenced to manage the various steps and needs. Staying organized is critical, and we can provide practical guidelines that will help shortcut the stress and the worry. One of the best ways to ensure that you’ve checked all the compulsory boxes is to adapt a list that’s already proved successful, and our goal is to provide you with tools that have already been vetted and can give you a leg up on the work.
So, jot down your questions and bring them along, including any worries you have about tackling this project. We’ll do our best to get you started and encourage you with supportive tips and resources. We know you can do it!
