For more details concerning when and how to submit plans and applications related to Food & Lodging see the Requirement Page. All plans must be accompanied by the Contact Information for Plan Review sheet and a fee, when applicable. Some applications may require a layout drawing form.

When applying to construct or renovate a facility serving food to the public, please fill out this application when submitting plans for review. A full set of plans can be created to scale by either an architect or engineer.

Fill out this form to obtain a variance from the state.

If a foodservice location is changing ownership, a Transitional Ownership Change form must be submitted.

A Walk-Through Application may also be needed for foodservice.

The Temporary Food Stand Permit Application must be submitted to Catawba County Environmental Health no less than one week before the first anticipated day of operation.

Two sets of plans, prepared and sealed by a registered professional engineer or registered architect, must be submitted and approved before beginning construction. The Application for Public Swimming Pool Operation Permit, together with a permit fee, payable to Catawba County, must be submitted with the plans. The application may also be used for annual renewal of the permit to operate when accompanied by the permit fee.

A scale drawing of the establishment, showing the location and specifications for all equipment, together with the Application for Tattooing Permit and a permit fee, payable to Catawba County, must be submitted at least 30 days before beginning operations. The application may also be used for annual renewal of the permit to operate when accompanied by the permit fee. Tattoo artists must also fill out an application.

When constructing a subdivision, the Subdivision Application must be completed before construction can begin.

Before drilling a new well, a Well and Septic Permit Application must be submitted.

Before installing a new septic system or repairing a previously-installed system, a Well and Septic Permit Application must be submitted.
